Pipe thread taps are specialized for processing British or American pipe threads required for pipeline connections. The taps achieve self sealing effect through precise taper machining of the threads. This taper fit can generate radial pressure on the internal and external threads when tightened, and can form an effective seal without the need for additional sealing materials. The cutting tool is made of wear-resistant alloy material (such as high-speed steel) and coated to ensure the sharpness of the cutting edge when processing pipeline materials such as cast iron and carbon steel. At the same time, the spiral groove or straight groove design optimizes the chip removal path for through-hole/blind hole requirements to avoid chip blockage affecting thread quality.
